Press release: WBM supplies parts for the world's largest wind farm
WBM Staalservice is proud to contribute to the realization of Hornsea 3, the world’s largest offshore wind farm off the coast of England.
On behalf of Smulders Projects Belgium, WBM is producing highquality laser-cut C-profiles for the various platforms within this project.
Hornsea 3, located 160 km off the coast of Yorkshire and 120 km off Norfolk, will soon have a capacity of 2.9 gigawatts – enough to supply sustainable energy to more than three million households.
Precision and efficiency
WBM’s in-depth expertise in precise cutting and bending processes is a key factor in this project.
During laser cutting, bolt holes are directly integrated, allowing the profiles to be delivered as a ready-to-use package that can be easily bolted together. This precision ensures that assembly and installation processes run with maximum efficiency.
